BBC Linz was founded on 28 September 1956. The club has enjoyed a number of successes in its history, such as the men's team winning the cup in 1979 - 1981 and the subsequent promotion to the second national basketball league. After the women's section was founded in 1973, the BBC women's team also played in the 2nd league for several years. Currently, the focus is primarily on the youth teams. The BBC has also had a cardio sports group since 1984, which organises training sessions in two groups. In addition to the league, the club organises an annual Easter camp for children and young people and the season opener with a highlight game at the end of August. The BBC can also be found at the Linz Winzerfest with two stalls. The club is open to anyone interested in basketball.
