The place Patersberg is located above the Rhine Valley east of Sankt Goarshausen on a long, stretched ridge, narrowly confined by the valleys of the Forst and Hasenbach rivers. With its views of Loreley as well as the castles Katz, Maus and Rheinfels ("Three-Castle View"), the place has had world-famous motifs in the midst of the UNESCO World Heritage Upper Middle Rhine Valley for two centuries.
