Gebäudekomplex ehem. "Sektkellerei Geiling"
Mainzer Straße 33-35, 55422 Bacharach
The cultural monument of the former Geiling sparkling wine cellar is located at Mainzer Straße 33 - 35.
The palace-like facade features pavilions and a central risalit. According to the plans of architect Gottlieb Bernhard from St. Goar, the building was erected as a champagne cellar from 1921. Today it is the headquarters of VIA GmbH, which specializes, among other things, in the production of traditional and modern cement tiles and slabs. The "Building Culture Initiative" of the Structural and Approval Directorate North of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate awarded the expansion and extension of the building in 2019 as an "Exemplary Building".
