NATURAL PHENOMENA Geysir Andernach launches new series of events in 2023 Climate catastrophe, greenhouse gas effect, Anthropocene - these are some headlines on the situation of our environment. Such a stocktaking cannot be positive at the moment. All the more reason to concern ourselves with the changes in nature and the environment and to critically question our role in it. This is what Geysir Andernach, as an institution for nature conservation and education, wants to do with a new series of events starting in 2023. Under the title NATURPHÄNOMENAL, we invite scientists, artists or authors to examine the relationship between humans and nature from their point of view. What constitutes this relationship, how has it changed in recent years and what can we learn from it? Perhaps sometimes the recipe for success lies not in sensational protest actions, but in quiet adaptation in individual behaviour. The events will take place at the Geysir Museum and consist of three parts: Lecture / Break / Discussion. We would like to get into conversation with the speakers after their contributions and discuss them as controversially as possible.
