Goetheanlage
Rheinstraße 56, 56564 Neuwied
A popular recreational area among the Neuwieders with a playground, fountain, and play field.
Goethe Park
Originally the Upper Bleaching Meadow of the town.
From 1869, a Rhine bathing facility and boat houses, as well as a playground, were built. From 1904, the place was called Wilhelmplatz. Since 1949, the area has been named Goethe Park.
In 2009/2010, the park was redesigned with significant community involvement. The area invites young and old to linger with a large playground, a fountain, and since 2017, there is also a pétanque court thanks to engaged citizens.
Open-air concerts such as the Creole Summer also take place here.
