The Katholisch Frauengemeinschaft Deutschlands (kfd) is one of the largest women's organisations in Germany, which campaigns for the interests of women in the church, politics and society. The Linz chapter has existed for over 100 years. The so-called sponsors meet monthly in a convivial atmosphere to discuss and coordinate upcoming tasks. The programme includes activities such as hikes, pilgrimages, meditations, masses and excursions. These are open to everyone. In addition, an entertaining coffee afternoon is organised every year in the town hall to celebrate Thanksgiving.
