Linzer Männergesangverein von 1822 e.V.
Roniger Weg, 53545 Linz am Rhein
The Linzer Männergesangverein von 1822 e.V. is the oldest amateur choir in Rhineland-Palatinate and one of the oldest amateur choirs in Germany. It has been awarded the Zelter Plaque and the City of Linz Culture Prize. Under the new direction of Marco Zimmermann, the choir has continued its musical journey from classical choral music to evergreens from pop, pop and rock music as well as the ‘Kölsche’ dialect songs so popular with the people of Linz with great success. In addition to the fun of singing together, the singers also value team spirit and socialising. This includes a cosy get-together after rehearsals, singing trips and excursions. The weekly singing rehearsals always take place on Wednesdays from 7.00 pm in the Sängerheim, Roniger Weg 24. Anyone who enjoys singing - reading music is not a prerequisite - is welcome to join the circle of singers at any time.
