At an elevation of 220 m above sea level, the wine-growing community of Nochern is located. Its district covers an area of 731 ha, of which 234 ha is forest (approximately 32%) and 22 ha is vineyards (approximately 3%).
Nochern is located in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Upper Middle Rhine Valley and has experienced a tourist enhancement since the opening of the Rheinsteig.
The Rheinsteighütte on the slopes of the Nocherner Brünnchen, which is the name of the vineyard location, invites hikers and guests to linger. You can hike along untouched nature trails and enjoy splendid views around Nochern.
