Basalt lava sculpture "Cut" is a three-part ground sculpture that extends on a line of about ten meters on a lawn. At first glance, the three basalt rocks of different sizes appear to be natural rocks on which no turf grows. Only a second glance reveals the sculptural intervention to the viewer: angular shapes, breakthroughs and cavities make the interior of the rocks visible. As if cut with a knife, the naturally grown stone is structured and shaped in its interior. The artistic intervention sets itself geometrically clear from the amorphous natural form, leaves a trace that connects all three stones.
