We promise an intense taste experience and we take our time to achieve this: all our grapes are hand-picked from old vineyards around the village of Hallgarten in the Rheingau. After long aroma extraction, the grapes are gently pressed and naturally matured in oak barrels. This results in vegan wines that have been given the time to develop themselves. We are innovative with new wines like the PROVOKATEUR, the first Riesling sparkling wine in rosé or the DESERTEUR, a top-level alcohol-free Riesling. Almost all our wines have names with a story behind them, such as the REVOLUZZER.
The range includes high-quality Rieslings, Riesling sparkling wines in rosé and white, as well as a Pinot Noir. Markus Bonsels and his wife Monika have followed their passion. Markus Bonsels quit his job after 25 years to study viticulture and enology and to further develop the BIBO RUNGE winery together with his wife. Markus and Monika are particularly proud of the 3.5 stars from the EICHELMANN wine guide just 5 years after founding the winery.
In their mid-40s, Markus Bonsels and Monika Eichner have finally followed their long-standing passion. After Markus studied oenology and viticulture in France and Germany, they took over the BIBO RUNGE winery in 2017.
BIBO RUNGE starts where others stop: This includes the manual harvest, so that only the best grapes get into the wine. With very long mashing times, everything is taken out of these grapes and the mash is then gently and gently processed in the champagne press. The wines ferment with natural yeasts and are aged as naturally as possible in large oak barrels for at least 10 months. This results in vegan wines that have been given the time to develop themselves: aroma-intensive and self-confident.
Celebrated in 2016 by Stuart Pigott at the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung as the discovery of the year, the third grape in the Gault&Millau shows its exceptional quality just three years after its foundation. The range includes high-quality Rieslings, Riesling sparkling wines in rosé and white as well as a Pinot Noir from 2017 onwards. All BIBO RUNGE wines like e.g. the REVOLUZZER tell a story.
