Alexander Schregel burst onto the scene with his first own vintage in 2021, and the wines sold out faster than we would have liked. He has already gained experience in a leading position at the renowned VDP estate - Weingut Leitz and was awarded the "Rheingau Discovery of the Year" (VINUM) in 2023. From top sites in Rüdesheim (Berg Roseneck, Bischofsberg) and now also Locher as well as Hallgartener top sites, he is now bringing his third vintage to market in 2023. He is taking "new paths" in the classic Rheingau, or rather, going Back to the Roots. The wines undergo spontaneous fermentation and are given more time to develop; fining agents are completely avoided, and sulfur is used only minimally. In the vineyard work, biodynamic approaches are utilized. An incredibly exciting endeavor, with already incredibly wonderful, vibrant wines. Back to the Roots!
