Weingut Weihermühle
Weihermühle, 65366 Geisenheim
The first mention of the "Weihermühle" dates back to 1339 - at that time as a flour mill owned by a monastery. Almost 500 years later, in 1803, the miller Franz Josef Daniel took over the property - and wine has been grown at the Weihermühle ever since.
The Daniel family ran the flour mill alongside dairy farming and viticulture until 1937. After the viticulture technician Franz Böhm took over the business from his uncle Hermann Daniel, who had no children, in 1998, the family continued to grow crops and raise livestock in addition to viticulture. In 2000, dairy farming was finally discontinued and converted to suckler cow husbandry, which had to be abandoned after Franz Böhm's untimely death on October 11, 2015. Today, Franz Böhm's successors are concentrating on the winery.
