Located directly on the Rhine, you can also bring your own picnic basket and enjoy the wine that is sold there!

Under large trees, you will find one of Hattenheim's landmarks, the barrels, for over 40 years.
Only a large meadow separates you from the picturesque banks of the Rhine. Rustic seating invites you to linger, and if the weather doesn't cooperate, you can comfortably fit up to 10 people in two barrels. Due to the unique location, the Hattenheim barrels are among the most beautiful wine tasting stands in Germany.
Bring your own picnic or treat yourself on-site to freshly baked pretzels and other snacks. At the Kaufmann winery, you can pre-order a corresponding picnic, prepared by the Restaurant Jonas in Kiedrich. One of the 13 Hattenheim winemakers, who alternate weekly from early April to October, will serve you the wine and other beverages.
During good weather, the wine stand is also open on weekends between October and March.
