The Dike Information Centre is intended to familiarise both visitors and the citizens of Neuwied with the city's flood protection system. Opening hours: Friday, Saturday, Sunday and public holiday 14:00 to 17:00
Here you can find out very clearly how far the Rhine floods spread when the dyke did not yet exist. The information centre is located at the end of the dyke wall near the castle in the former DLRG recreation room
On weekday mornings, nothing stands in the way of a visit to the dyke information centre by appointment, e.g. for school classes or similar.
