It has become a tradition that a few days before Christmas, young highly talented pianists, playing in duos or solo, meet at the State Music Academy to refine their repertoire under the guidance of Professors Hans-Peter and Volker Stenzl. The course ends, as usual, with a final concert by the participants, this time in the garden hall of Schloss Engers, and offers - with free admission - an opportunity to pause amidst the holiday preparations.

Hans-Peter and Volker Stenzl are among the best piano duos in the international music scene. For over 30 years, they have been sharing the stage. Critics speak of a "magical connection of two brotherly hearts into one musical soul" and praise the "unique fusion of musical instinct and musical intelligence." Since winning the ARD competition in 1986, the Stenzls have performed in almost all countries of Europe, in West Africa, North and South America, Japan, Hong Kong, and China.
