Of foreign lands and people

Based on the famous piano piece from Robert Schumann's ‘Kinderszenen’ op.15, the Collegium Vocale Koblenz under the direction of Richard Moser invites you on a musical journey through the world.

With choral and instrumental music from North and South America, Australia, the Philippines, South Africa, Israel and the Middle East as well as several European countries, the choir wants to take its audience on a surprising journey of discovery through the musical cultures of the world and make a small contribution to international understanding.

The programme will be enriched by contributions from the Iraqi duduk virtuoso Rageed William, the multi-instrumentalist Christopher Herrmann (cello/clarinet) and the pianist and world musician Matthias Frey, who also plays the grand piano like a stringed instrument.
