Traditionelles Winzerfest
Rheinanlagen 1, 56338 Braubach
Braubach is celebrating its traditional winegrowers' festival for the 100th time. From October 04 to 07, the focus is on wine. Winegrowers and innkeepers will be offering the best from their kitchens and cellars in Braubach's Rhine gardens. The official opening starts on Friday at 18:00. This will be followed by live music with “Revolution Breakdown”.
On Saturday, the wine fountains open at 3.00 pm. Accompanied by the Braubach Wine Queen Ronja I. with her princesses and Bacchus Jan I. with his entourage, a torchlight procession will make its way through the town in the evening, supported by the historic town militia. Afterwards, the mayor hands over the keys to Bacchus Jan I on stage, who rules the town for three days together with his bacchantes and the cupbearer. A firework display and live music with “BETOBE” set the mood for celebrating late into the night.
Sunday starts at 10 am with an ecumenical church service. From 11 a.m., everyone is invited to the morning pint concert. The highlight will be the Winzerfest parade on Sunday at 2 pm. Many foot groups and floats, accompanied by bands, will take part in the spectacle. From 4 pm, “Ohne Filter” will be playing live music on the stage.
On Monday, the wine stands open at 11 am. In the afternoon, children can look forward to “Findus and the Cock in the Basket” by the Koblenz puppet theater. At 5 pm, the exciting Bacchus Rallye takes place, in which everyone can take part. To round off the festival with wine and live music, the “Mary's Revival Band” will be playing.
